Lexington's Population Served by Bike Lanes
In 2010, the Census Bureau reported that 295,803 people lived in Fayette County, Kentucky. In November, 2012, the city had 28.8 miles of existing bike lanes. This analysis attempts to calculate the number of people in Fayette County living close to bike lanes.

This project was a lab in GEO 309, Introduction to GIS, in UKY Geography Department, Fall 2012 semester. The goal was 1) teach basic overlay geoprocessing, 2) use 2010 census block data, and 3) help the city understand how many people live near bike lanes.
